Did Rome Fall?

Just something I was thinking on thought I would throw it out there.

Rome "fell" for a multitude of reasons, one being the lack of a unified belief system through out the empire. So at the end of the Roman Empire you have a group of "Christians" who hold the Nicene council to decide which texts to put in The Bible. They form the Catholic Church look at this......

Rome was ruled by THE ROMAN EMPEROR

Catholic Church THE HOLY ROMAN EMPORER

Rome was called ROMAN EMPIRE

Catholic Church HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE

Roman Emperor was worshiped as God

Holy Roman Emperor or Pope, Gods Voice on Earth

So question? Did Rome fall....or....just change her leadership tactics. Funny thing, We Roman Catholics now have a unified belief.

Good point. May I ad another question ?

Did the Germans loose the war ?
The NASA got big knowhow from SS Oficers and other people that should have been put to jail.
Germany is here in Europe together with France the powers to be
We get slammed around the ears with more and more laws that Hitler would approve, some of them he couldn't even come up with himself
Many operations, genetic tests and other started in the famous camps,
A car for everybody ( Volkswagen - Car for the people ) were have we heard that before ????
Aspirin ? And so many more

Sometimes the loser turns out to be the winner and sometimes what is gone is somehow still there

Rome did fall to an extent, but the Pope retained power even though he was "forbidden" to make arrests on other nations. He got around that rule by appointing bishops who would ask the king or prince to do their dirty work.

The German States were the many areas which did not listen to the Pope or the Church decrees.

While the Roman Empire fell as a unified force, they still had much power through the Pope. However, many monarchs became aware of this and would use their influence to put in their own man as a puppet. So while the Pope made his decrees, they were done so by the Kings of France, Spain and other powerful nations at the time.

While some kings were terrified of the Pope, others had him poisoned and put in their own men.

This is a very interesting thread, but it is so much more complex when looking at the whole picture.

Great post. In many ways Rome never fell, it just changed it's name and repackaged itself anew. The word 'Catholic' apparently translates from the Latin to 'Universal'. How appropiate. :) Mr. Bonacci breaks it down wonderfully:
