You said it, Bob !!! Speaking of gold...I heard a rumor that all the gold that was supposed to be in Fort Knox is gone !! The last President to enter Fort Knox to see the contents was Ronald Reagan, and he needed security clearance to do that !! The President of the United States needs permission to see how OUR gold is doing. What a load. "16 and Pregnant" should never have been aired in the first place.. so many young girls think it's cool to get pregnant, then they have a situation where the grandparents end up raising the kid because the young moms still want to lay around and have more unprotected sex, get into drugs and drinking, basically throwing their pathetic little lives away. My sister had a kid at 15, and I had to drop out of High School to raise her until she was 3 years old, because my sister had to party. Luckily, I got my diploma, went to college, and have a respectable and rewarding job. Most aren't so lucky. My sister got into the heaviest drugs..(i.e. meth, heroin, crack), ruined her lungs so badly she needs a transplant, ruined her veins so badly she shoots up in her feet, legs, anywhere she can find one-- and has been in the hospital for 3 weeks !! The moral decay of our country is astounding, it is considered acceptable for people of the same sex to lay with eachother and marry, ...Sorry, that's not acceptable in the Bible. Crime is at an all-time high, mass murder/suicides are a common occurence. The PEOPLE need to change, not the leaders.

Whenever Greed is the main motivator along with power, they always corrupt whatever civilization that it is in according to history, from ancient times to the present. The moral decay of society follows right along with what those in power do. The religious make out that they are moral, but in reality they are some of the worst offenders. Alcoholism, and Drug Addiction are escape mechanisms utilized by youth into adulthood due to circumstances that when people are young have acquired the necessary skills to deal with, so they use these escape mechanism, and become alcoholics, and drug addicts, because they do not know how to deal with life on life's terms. The whole world is in a mess, and needs spiritual, (not religious), help to get through this to life a better life for all, not just some special religion, and the rest killed, but for everyone on earth. We are all brothers and sisters, whether we like it or not. We are all humans on earth, and we need to learn to get along, and play nice with each other, and learn to share, (the things that are supposed to be taught at home and in kindergarten)! We all have problems, no one here on earth is a saint, and if aliens do come down, we will all have to rethink how we live, and how we treat each other!

Ahhh...Yes so it is written in stone and they still won't pay attention now will they? Oh well it says that too in stone too.. :( .I hope they will all see the light soon. LITERALY!!! I however can't wait to bask in it! :D I am trynig not too have a hateful or bad feeling anymore towards all this. It is what it is and the time we live in. At the same time all this madness is going on it is pretty awesome that all the speculations of the coming day are truly coming to pass. It seems we have to go through the bad to get to the good. The darkness to get to the light. Or kick the ball through the stone hoop as the Mayan's played. I am going to try more not get so angry and try to just give thanks. And be patient. Hope that good will come soon and trusting my faith that it will come.

Same here, Bob...every time I seem to get ahead, something pushes me two steps back. It's unnerving and depressing. The good thing about it is, when things are at their worst, I tell myself, "Nothing much worse can happen." Sometimes I have misspoken in that regard, but usually things get better. I just always have the feeling this is the calm before the storm, or the nausea before the vomit. LOL

Pinched nerve from a slipped disc at base of my spine. 2 emergency room visits in one week, I was almost paralyzed. IV dilaudid while at hospital, percocets for home. So far, so good, sh#t happens.
Little miss prissy arse doctor at my family care center said no pain meds for me, going against the ER physicians discharge papers.
I used this care center to voluntarily take a drug test 4 years ago. Did it for a year, planning to make extra money driving a limo. Doc said shes not writing my scripts because I took a drug abuse test. The doctor from 4 years ago is gone. It didn't matter that I passed it for the year.
I wanna vent this alright, ... in court.
... Peace.

Speaking of the Force, why is George Lucas re-releasing all of his Star Wars movies in converted 3D? Only for the money as we really don't need to see the Clone movie again!

Sorry to hear about the slipped disc, and the Doctor's no care policy. Go Figure! Max, I didn't know that George L. was releasing them in 3-D. Although I do agree, it's for the money, I wouldn't mind seeing the original 3 in 3-D, but I really do not care for the having to wear 3-D glasses thing!

Thnx Bob137, that doc sent my blood pressure out of the park. In all fairness, as I was being wheeled around on a stretcher to x-rays and cat scans ect, everyone was extremely pleasant and helpful. I mean a sincerely nice bunch of people there, and that one bad apple stands alone I'm sure.
Saw the 3D ad for star wars, they can keep their glasses.
The library called today, said Steven Chow's From Beijing with Love is waiting for me... For free. Hope it's half as good as Kung Fu Hustle was.
Jeez, all this laying around, I got lots of Time on my hands, hopefully I'm not postering the heck out of everyone.

Not at all, glad to hear from you. I also have a bad disc, been that way for many years, sucks to have a bad back. I know quite a few people that have3 had surgery nt heir back, and the majority are in worse shape now, than before their surgeries. The VA informed me that if they did my surgery, I would be in a wheel chair the rest of my life, so I informed them that under no circumstances will I ever let them touch my back. They give me only a 30 per cent chance for full recovery on injuries to my shoulders, arms, wrists, and thumbs and nerve damage, 30 percent nothing will change, and 30 percent I will be worse off before the surgeries, so I canceled those also. I had a Colonel that use to say to people with problems, "sucks to be you" it is appropriate sometimes. Back when I was a sort of an ass, I would tell people to just sit down and have a cup of shut the f"@43k up!

I love Kung Fu Hustle, I am going to see if our library has From Beijing With Love.

Sorry about your back, I had some disc problems, a bulging disc, many years ago and it was the worst pain I have ever endured. I wouldn't even consider have anything done about it. I was bed ridden twice because of it, but it got better and I just have to be careful not to pick up anything really heavy and I seem to do OK.

Jeez Bob, I feel bad for you too.

I will never let "them" bring me down, youre right, Bob137, it's about attitude. I stayed away from painkillers and surgery for 15 years. The pinched nerve not only has me in excruciating pain, it's causing numbness on the upper front half of my leg that grows with the pain. I feel for anyone going thru something so painful, .... red tape and ignorant health providers are uncalled for.
......
Hey Luna.....KUNG FU HUSTLE, I also love that movie. it's not about karate, I think everyone should see it. One of my favorite movies. Steven Chow also has a cooking foodie film and one about soccer, google him for some cool titles to watch.
Hope all our bad pains become water under the bridge soon. In the meantime, PM me anyone who wishes to send me the meds they no longer need...... ;^0

Bob137, my avatar is a rock or ceramic that I found on the beach. The line running down the center is from a mirror. The image is flattened out a little from fitting for my avatar. It's someones face and hands, he's meditating. Upside down is another head. Not so meditative. If I outlined it for you, it's one of those "once you see it" type things. Theres probably a much better pix of it on the unusual stones from cape may thread, with and without the mirror.

Hey isitmeorwhott. Proof this:
I came like water, and like wind I go
Into this Universe, and Why not Knowing
Nor Whence, like Water willy-nilly flowing;
And out of it, as Wind along the Waste,
I know not Wither, willy-nilly blowing.
What, without asking, hither hurried Whence?
And, without asking, whither hurried hence!
Oh, many a cup of this forbidden Wine
Must drown the memory of that insolence!
Then to the Lip of this poor earthen Urn
I lean'd, the Secret of my life to learn:
And Lip to Lip it murmured - While you live,
"Drink! - for, once dead, you never shall return."

Fifteen men on a dead man's chest
Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum
Drink and the devil had done for the rest
Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum.
The mate was fixed by the bosun's pike
The bosun brained with a marlinspike
And cookey's throat was marked belike
It had been gripped by fingers ten;
And there they lay, all good dead men
Like break o'day in a boozing ken
Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum.

There's crack heads, wife beaters, terrorists, rapists, drug dealers, pimps, whores, drunks, drug addicts, pedophiles, thieves, robbers, and the like out in this world, and yet since I was injured numerous times doing my duty, the Veteran Services treats me like I am the dirt bag, even though I don't drink or do drugs, or any of the other above mentioned things. Go figure, I guess if I was one of those, I would have gotten disability, social security, and won the lottery all at the same time, so I could blow it on one big stupid party, so I could get a bunch of people messed up more at one time. This is the way of the world, and it sucks. I am definitely ready for this world to go through a change of venue.

Re: anything to vent?

Postby Bob137 » Thu Feb 02, 2012 7:53 am

I am. It's just that my first claim took 16 years, before they finally responded with a denial, before I could put in another claim. It's been two years now, and they only got two claims out of ten right. They were supposed to have the rest fixed prior to the end of 2011, it is now Feb 2, 2012, and they again were supposed to be finalized Not Later Than January 31st. The person that works my claims, and the ones who review them, aren't even showing up to work half the time, to get them done, so I keep having to wait for them to go to work, and work on the claims,so I can get compensated for my injuries, (more than likely they get the 3 day flu a lot), (drunks working the claims). They are very inefficient, inaccurate, and condescending. So I have my Amvets Rep dealing with them daily, and they tell him inaccurate information all the time, to where he then tells me what they say, and then we both find out later, it is total BS, and then have to wait longer for claims to be finalized, even though they state they will be done by a certain time! They then state that sometimes inaccurate information is expelled, (In other words they were just lying, and aren't about to tell the truth)! They seem to not be able to read accurately what is plainly written by the military, the military Doctors, and other Doctors, and Investigations of injuries, yet everyone else that has read them, clearly understands exactly what is stated on each of my injuries, agent orange and radiation exposure, etc... They seem to be the only ones on earth that cannot understand what the documents state! It is vedry irritating to say the least. Anyway enough belly aching from me. I hope everyone has a nice day, supposed to get to 60 degrees here today, gonna try and enjoy it as much as I can, and I hope ever :) yone else can have a grand day today!

That is a shame. I have had great luck in working with the Veterans personnel on all of my issues. The healthcare I receive is top notch also. I don't know where you are going for your VA representation, but I do think they need to come to the Chicago area and look at how the social workers and others treat veterans.

They do have an IG complaint system like the services, and I would not hesitate to use it if I was treated like a second class citizen.

It is just the Veteran's Services side for claims that Is this way here. Numerous Veteran's here are having the same problems I am with them on so many issues. The medical side is okay, they seem to try to do their best most of the time. Also part of the problem here is, that the Veteran Services will have no communication with the medical side on medical issues. They are not allowed to communicate either way, other than the VA Services side requesting documentation from the Medical side. Though it seems that the VA Services cannot even understand what their own medical side states, let alone not understanding documentation from the military either.

Re: anything to vent?

Wow Bob, that sounds like a pain in the butt...I think our Veterans should get MORE care, and the Professional Welfare recipients get much LESS. As soon as they apply for benefits, if they have children, especially if they're still kids themselves, it should be MANDATORY to have a Norplant put in their arms to insure that they don't get pregnant by another baby daddy for FIVE years. That is fair, they're supposed to be cut off (benefits and food stamps) after five years anyway, but they keep having more kids so they never get cut off !! They should have MANDATORY drug testing BEFORE they are given benefits EACH AND EVERY month ! There is a reason the suicide rate is virtually nonexistent in urban areas. Just something to think about. I've seen prisons that serve the same quality of food as an Army/Air Force/Navy/Marine base. Prisoners should be allowed NOTHING. They committed crimes, some horrendous, some not as major--but they can separate the violent offenders from non-violent ones, and help rehabilitate THEM, not those scumbags with no conscience shooting innocent people and selling bad dope on the streets, killing more people. They should get a bowl of slimy oatmeal and some chickory tea for breakfast, a PB&J or bologna sandwich for lunch, and some kind of sloppy stew for dinner. I feel VERY strongly about these situations, can you tell? :P Anyway, Bob, I don't know which state you live in, but there are some resources out there, you just have to find the right person to share that information with you that doesn't have ulterior motives.

Thanks LL. I also do not like the ones that are (bumming off the system), so to speak, that are just lazy, and have hardly any conscience. I am waiting on results, (still as of right now, not done yet), even though they said would be done this last Monday, (I have heard that numerous times, without results). After this bit gets done, I am going to talk with the DAV Attorney, and see if maybe he can do better, if not then an independent attorney. I have put in complaints on this, but their only complaint system here is at this VA facility, cannot get Washington involved, (tried). I have also utilized a Senator, which he has got little results so far also. I learned also that they are behind on over 1500 cases on soldiers disability claims.

I heard about them being behind on cases, but I got a letter from the Social Security Administration saying that they are now trying to handle each case within 18 months, which would put mine in June, but my drug addicted sister spends two years in Marysville Prison, gets released, and two months later gets a check for $20,000. And receives a grand a month. American Bulls@%t at its finest. Not to mention that Veterans should be ahead of EVERYONE on that list.
