Tonight it is the Mayan Conspiracy on History, and it says it is the first episode of Season 4 and the last to be on History before the move to H2. It's on at 9:00 pm here on the west coast and then I checked, it is on again on H2 at 10:00pm.

I'm home for lunch and it is UFO programs on all day.

A really good couple of episodes which has reversed its decision to dumb down like it did last season. It was again aimed at intelligent thinkers like the first 2 seasons which was really good and really positive.

Another good feature is that they dropped all the numerous recaps every advert which destroyed my enjoyment of the last season.

With regard to the content: My money would be on a 'return' which would be the best thing. Although in the paper today there was talk about nuclear events +USA and Iran.

(What was the detail about the rebuilding of the temple in Jerusalem and the return of the ancients to that spot if they manage to rebuild it?) That was a really interesting part of the show however it was quite brief. Does anyone have any further information for me. Many thanks.

It was what it was, a doom and gloom episode for the most part. We have seen this before, and the one bright spot was the spot focusing on the return visitation of the gods.

The end of the show summed it up: Perhaps they just mean for the calendar to reset and start all over again.

I was watching Ancient Aliens S04E02 The Doomsday Prophecies, and noticed something rather interesting from frames at approximately 20:07:00. There is a scene of the night sky revolving amongst the trees. If you use a frame advance media player, just keep clicking through that vision of the night sky and at 9 o'clock left of centre, you can notice 3 lights come into the sky for approx the next 6 or so frames and move towards the centre of the video. I noticed it straight off and wondered what it was, and then did the frame check and sure enough I wasn't seeing things. They are uniform in distance all the time as they move across the screen. Very interesting. Can anyone shed some light on what it may be? Cheers, Pip

It was probably CGI imagery. Many of the shots at night are done using CG to get the full effect of the shot. There are some errors in data which are very quick for some to notice during editing of the show.

I will check it out myself as one never knows.

Im sorry lads I can't agree with your positive comments...... there was one or two interesting parts but overall it was poor and relied on a lot of speculation again and very little science.

There are a couple of issues I had with this episode :

- Giorgio putting an analagy of an aeroplane trails to a snake was a bit absurd to be honest. My logical mind tells me that if a civilization thousands perhaps millions or billions of years in advance of us came to earth in the distant past, they did not use rocket type propellors or jet engines...surely if they were that sophisticated that they would have free energy or anti-gravity technology ? Like I am just saying like. Besides what giorgio was showing us was IMO a 'CHEMTRAIL' which is much different than a CONTRAIL. Google 'geo-engineering'.

- Why did the doomsday parts have to show the destruction of the 'Texas School Book Deposiory' in dallas? I found that kinda strange.

- The constant repetition from Giorgio of 'FLESH AND BLOOD EXTRATERRESTRAILS' like a mantra. Look again, if ETs-aliens came to earth in the distant past, why would the have 'blood' and not some other substance? The UFO phenomenon is showing that these entities have the ability to 'manifest' in the physical but dissapear at will,perhaps into different dimensions..... i.e. its not nuts and bolts - If you go back an even look at the original Kenneth Arnold statements he never said what he saw was nuts and bolts - but that the craft appeared to be 'LIVING - PULSING - VIBRATING' ...his daughter had an amazing interview on Coast to Coast AM a few weeks back. If these beings are coming though PORTALS and the like then how can they be purely 'flesh and blood'? Besides quantum physics is showing that we are a lot more than the physical .... that it is really kind of a virtual reality world scenario - we are spirit beings using our bodies as spacesuits, etc.

In saying all that there were interesting bits but overall I would give it a 5/10.

My boyfriend had a good point after watching half of the first episode from season 4 he said "Maybe they were just really creative people and were depicting things from their imaginations." could be ...

I actually thought that analogy was a really good one that made a lot of sense for me.
The head of a dragon or the head of a snake looks like a ufo! IF you have nothing in your concepts to describe what you see then animal analogies are the closet you will get.

I beleive the Mayan's built those temples as much as I beleive the recent past Egyptians (5000 yrs) built the Pyramids. These structures were remnants of advanced civilizations from thousands of years ago. The Bedouins moved in, populated, and decided to call the Pyramids their work. This is not to say that some time later they themselves didn't have visitations from those whom came down from the heavens; I beleive both cultures did and carried on the traditions and continued the teachings that they had learned form those visitations. If I am not mistaken, in several episodes it has been said that when the Conquistadors landed in the Central Americas and equired as to whom had built their structures, the Mayan replied the structures had already been there before them.
