Has anyone ever read this book? It is quite interesting. Long read, but worth it.

I have read the unabridged edition and it is quite interesting. Some of the finds need to be looked at further as Mr Cremo just uses old newspaper articles for his evidence. I was hoping he would dig down deeper and find out the names of the places and if the artifacts actually existed.

Many newspapers in the 19th and early 20th Centuries would make stuff up to sell copies. Skeletons of giants being found are suspicious to me with no other reference to check out the stories.

But other things in the book are fact and quite real. People can see the several million year old modern man footprints for themselves.

I've also read the unabridged version. Great read, and excellent work by Mr. Cremo to take the time to present all of these story's to us. I feel like he's laid the foundation for future researchers/investigators to invest their time and efforts to follow up on what he started.

We must be talking about different books then, because for some reason, I found it extremely dry reading. It was almost as dull as Jaques Vallee's UFO book from the 1960's called Anatomy of a Phenomenon.

Cremo wasn't the only one working on this book. Where's the love for Thompson?

I am reading this book now, off-and-on, using it for research and ideas. It is in my opinion a treasure chest filled with gems for the subscribers of the AASRA to conduct research and contribute to the theory of ancient vistitations and among other things. Great book! It's no Stephen King book, so don't expect it to read like one. Just say'n

while a few may be attributable to sensationalism, there are just too many to leave us without a reasonable doubt.
