This is one fascinating book written by an engineer with over 50 years of experience in his field. Mr Dunn was always fascinated by the pyramids of Egypt and went there to examine them and look for evidence on how they were built. He got sidetracked by the many behemoth statues, monuments and temples that were also built there. He soon realized they were very complicated efforts and very accurately built using precision mathematics and tools.
The book uses geometry and other equations to show how very complicated the faces of Ramses is. There are hundreds of photographs and illustrations in this book to show the work and the finds.
Drill bits and other pieces of very fine construction tools have been found by much earlier Egyptologists. Unfortunately, they were believed to of been simple tools and ignored until Mr Dunn took a much closer look and examined them in his work station. The threads on them are very close and would make the modern machinist quite proud.
He also suggests that giant machines were used to move the huge pieces and put them all together. Unfortunately, no machines are around as many were either cannibalized for other stuff or left to rot away. But the book shows plenty of evidence they were used.
The preface also mentions Gobleki Tepe and how it is a monument built 12,000 to 13,000 years ago. The author does suggest that civilization must be far older than currant academics teaches us. The evidence for that is overwhelming, and yet it is still ignored.
While ancient astronauts are not mentioned in the book, this is a great reference for those who want to show the ancients had a vast amount of knowledge that was unfortunately lost. I recommend this book for the Egyptologist in people out there.
