Even though no one on Capitol Hill is talking about it, unless it is stopped, the provisions of The Real ID Act of 2005 (Public Law 109-13, 119 Stat 392), through the Department of Homeland Security, will require the federalization of State-issued driver's licenses by May 11, 2011.
This is the type of card the Nazi's and the communists in the Soviet Union made people carry.

I will chip my dogs and cats, but not my body (or my kids). No way they would ever enforce this.
upperworld wrote:Not that i am excited about a government ID or getting "chipped" as they say, but tell me what is the huge downside to it? What is the end result of this conspiracy? This chip isn't going to control your thoughts, you'll still be whomever you want to be under the control of nobody else but yourself. It's just another rule you have to play along with, like the speed limit. Ok so big brother can tell where i am at all times, and potentially who i am with...but what does that matter? I'm not important enough for them to waste billions of our tax dollars to follow. If you aren't a criminal or terrorist secretly scheming to take down the government with other like minded bad apples why would the government being able to know where you are scare you? They can pretty much already figure that out anyway if they really wanted to.
Now from a civil liberties standpoint i do agree that you are giving up some sort of freedom if you are FORCED to have a medical procedure done to remain a legal citizen. So in principle it is a bit scary, but in reality it is more benign (to me atleast) than some will have you believe. In addition, this isn't even anything that is happening at the moment...we are talking about ID cards right now...only speculating about ID chips. Go ahead, call me naive.
This old dame isn't falling for it either.maxmercury wrote:They can polish this turd all they want to, but I will never buy into this. I can see some buying into the fear of pedophilia and getting their children chipped, then the elderly chipped. They could then use scare tactics like getting lost for the rest of the population.
But it will never work for me.
Unfortunately, I do see most falling for this.

Dame, the cameras are bad enough. I wanted them gone as soon as they were installed.
You are the kind of people they target, I did it, why not the rest.
Remember this one; Tapping phones and listening to people in their houses in Germany and now here in the U,S,A..
I guess you would say, you have nothing to worry about if you are not doing anything wrong!!!!!!!!
Why should you carry ID cards, you have done nothing wrong.
Remember this one; Your papers, Now!
Yes; you are Naive, very naive.
May I ask how old you are?
Come on Wake up people............

Brainwashed, and I think the whole loyalty to a party is a bunch of bull **** that has gone too far. Someone will sit there, look at what their party is doing, knowing it is totally wrong, and STILL support them!
This I.D. card, then microchips (the sign of the beast).......and those who will refuse the sign will be killed. If that isn't an incentive for many, I don't know what is.
