Black Knight Satellite?

Postby Hitman » Tue Aug 16, 2011 3:33 pm

Has anybody ever heard of this Black Knight Satellite? I was listening to a Coast to Coast show from January of this year with Jonathan Gray Archeological Mysteries and he said something very quick about the Black Knights Satellite. From what I have been able to find it was a Satellite that the U.S. detected in 1960 in a polar orbit. Nobody knew what it was and eventually HAM radio operators were able to get a signal from it and one person was able to decode the message and it was a star chart Epsilon Bostes star system from earth 13,000 year ago. After awhile it just kinda of disappeared. That's all I have been able to find on this thing i was just wondering if anybody else has heard of this story?

I have heard about this story, but have not been able to find a reliable source to back it up. I did check the link to Yahoo Answers?:

The best answer seems to be that this story was a hoax. With no evidence other than third and fourth person hearsay, it will have to stay in the hoax department until someone gets in some evidence to support this was real.

There is a story of a satellite that was tracked orbiting the Earth near the equator. This was in Time Magazine and it remains a mystery to this day. I found the link one time, but have not been able to find it again. The story was in the late 1950s (1957? it has been a while), and it appeared they found a moonlet type satellite. The object since disappeared, and I do think it is possible the Black Knight Satellite story comes from this incident.

Hmm, interesting like i said i just found out about this today. I have done some more looking around the net and I would have to agree with you, until something else comes to light this is more than likely a hoax.

The Time Magazine article is what interests me. Did they really find something out there like an alien mothership and tracked it for a while before it disappeared? Or was it a mistake made by the trackers themselves. The funny thing is I looked again in Time Magazine's archives and the article is missing. But I did read it and it is mentioned in more than one UFO book (Alien Agenda by Jim Marrs for one).

I do think the Black Knight Satellite is a hoax, or it is derived from the earlier satellite story in Time Magazine.
