I know, Bob, and that is really annoying for them to be up our butts all the time, but if there weren't so many crimes committed on the streets, there would be no need for them. They are their for our protection, but it is also an invasion of our privacy as citizens. It's too bad a bunch of thugs had to ruin it for the rest of us.

Big Brother brings big changes to what's recorded from publicly accessed viewpoints. Like any new technology, we have to place safeguards. Any abuses will hopefully help refine the way it's used. I'm not too worried about that aspect of it.
If I want to spend a day frolicking around naked on the beach or by the river in the state forrest, let them put cameras at the entrance parking lots. The NJ state park rangers already have been riding around for years with a chart to fill out, on what kinda cars (and their license plate numbers) are parked where and when. If trouble is reported, they can go back and look at these charts to help in the investigation. When one ranger thought it his duty to hide in the woods with binoculars and spy on skinny dippers before ticketing them, they got rid of him.
Imagine a home invasion in your neighborhood, say mid-day or midnite. Or vandalism. Or a kidnapping. Not much traffic around, except the perpetrators. It would be faster and cheaper to have our own public cameras. Now cops spend a lot of time going to collect info from private sources that just might have been pointed the right way.
I went to Phoenixville HS in Pennsylvania. Phoenixville was the first town in the US to install public video cameras on the business district intersections. This was around 1970!
Oh yeah, Bob137, the latest news from England, they're upgrading their ariel surveillance of farms with drones. "How many pumpkins you say you got there?"
... Peace.

They also spy on children, and to me that is just sick, as bad as pedophiles themselves! Police spend most of their time, (anyway around here), just trying to give people traffic tickets, if your house is burglarized, (even if the burglar is in the house when you call 911), they will take their sweet time getting there, (usually a half hour or more), so all they have to do is have you fill out a bunch of paperwork, and then they are on their way. They won't even try to chase down a burglar, unless it is of a business, or a wealthy neighborhood, other than that, you are pretty much on your own. If you find your stuff that was stolen, at a pawn shop, good luck on trying to get the police involved, to get your stuff back. I have seen police parked talking with a hooker, while drug dealers are selling their crack on the back of the police car. I have known of police going after a father and a daughter, and try to set them up as a pimp and his whore, because he had beaten the city on a case, and won some money. I know of numerous other abuses, let alone police brutality. It is all in a days work for what used to be few and far between is now an acutely corrupt bunch. Not all mind you are that way, I know, but has really gotten out of hand, along with corporations lies, and bribes, etc..

Yep, there's always a few crooked cops out there, no matter how badly they try to make themselves seem "by the book". There was a story about a cop that kept some weed from a bust, he took it home and smoked it with his wife, called 911 later and said he thought they were dying, that they overdosed on weed !! Then there are prison guard dealers, there are crooks everywhere...even the closest people you think you know.

Walking down a street in cape may last summer. A cop car comes racing past us, apparently in hot pursuit of someone. They turn the corner ahead of us, the way we were going. It's about 9:55 am. We see the cop turn into the closed antique store parking lot. They always sit there radaring people who are maybe running a little late for work. (cape may opens at 10:00 am). Believe me, there's NEVER been an accident anywhere near here.
So, the cop was running a little late and speeding to position himself so he could radar and penalize people for running a little late and speeding.
Lesson: don't go over 30mph in a 25mph zone. Some cops use these areas to get their brownie points.
... Peace.

I had that KFC double chicken sandwich and it is all salt. I am sure some will like it, but I will just get my regular fried chicken fix thank you.

I do not like the fact there are cameras everywhere. I don't like Big Brother watching me and knowing my business. I am also big on privacy and if I want people to know mine I will open a Facebook account!

:| Well I have ridden the merry-go-round, got dizzy on the tilt a world, road the bumper cars till my head hurt,in between all the other rides, rode the roller coaster countless times. The rides are what I expected. The worst part of this amusement park is waitin in line with all those Intelligent Cocksures and having to deal with all thier nonsense. This is the part where I usually throw up. :(
Ok. I have had enough of this amusement park earth. But I still have one more ride to go on. I saved the best for last. So it's off to the Funhouse for a final laugh. And then slip into the house of mirrors back home into infinity where I belong. And loose those intelligent cocksures. They never can get past the first mirror. They wind up arguing and doubting themselves till eternity. It is a sad pathetic site I guess that's what happens when you've gone through life and you have never ever had to or wanted to see how you really look and act to others.
Next park I go to I am going to the Funhouse and house of mirrors first maybe then I can start a trend?

I know. Been going there once or twice a summer for bout 50yrs. a little north of ya in da woods.(I always liked the lights) And it had is the same gung ho force. Well my friend if you ve ever been down there the other nine month's of the year it is like Twilightzone episode. Very strange the first time you experience d shore on the offseason.
It is the only time they can make thier revenue for the year it does suck and over the years mainly when I was a youngster had experiences with the beaches finest. I love that shore but now I just do complete stops. Hey they will even get you for Jay-walking! Not me but other people. C'mon! It's the shore for crying out loud!
Don't ever have your vehicle breakdown and take it to an island garage. Get it tuwed off the island inland even if it is a 300 dollar bill..
About 15yrs. ago I took my folks down. They were gettin up in years and we had been down there ever since I can remember stayed at the same hotel for 40yrs. Well our starter went on the car. We asked at the front desk who was good and we towed ot there.
A simple 3 hour starter and I am being nice. Took 4 days to put in! It forced us to stay 2 extra nights. And when it was finally done the bill was a wopping 1800 bucks! Well I flipped out at the garage at the motel. Wrote a letter to the Chamber. Well the garage reduced it to 1100 bucks it was still unexceptable. But live abd learn. Just lettin ya know.

Hey isitmeorwhott. I'm still in cape may, since '95. Keep a trailer in the woods north @ 10 minutes. My advice to visitors: slow down, lock your bicycles, don't buy cheap junk being passed off as quality. And, beware of local, I say local, imitation artists (fakes). If you can afford it, the restaurants can be awesome. But by all means, go hang out at the beaches, each one has something to offer.
The locals have it made, and they can spend much of their time complaining about just about anything, because it seems like it could be perfect here, if only......
So... here goes: Theres a mile and a half stretch of beach surrounded by a protected wildlife area. No buildings, parking lots, roads, ... you have to take a long walk to get there. Or go by water. Pick a spot out that's the most secluded for a little solitude. Next thing you know, someone plops themselves down practically right next to you, like you're some kind of a magnet. Trust me, most of these no-lifers have no life, except you now.

... Peace.

:o well the beach has moved from the north to the south where right at the beach balls 30 40 yrs ago it was only a 100yds from the boards is no almost a mile. The beach is ok. you see i am a mason so when i see sand i see cement. :( I am more for walkin the beach and hanging at the hotel pool or ocean front balcony. Right in front of d balls. Best view in d woods. you know where. I walk theboards eat my way from one end to the other. Gotta admit da woods has the best food in Jersey. I could kill for a bucket of snow white chicken right now or slop down a lg Mac's with extra cheese.( remeber my zantac)God that pizza is good. The woods has calmed down over the years maybe cause I have calmed down too. I go though every mem wknd. Kiddie week. I love going there I try to make it down at least twice a season for a couple days.More if I can get a couple of friends or family to split d rm. with me. Went by myself last memorial day weekend. No one wanted to go I had more fun than the other 2 weekends when my friends came down. Anyway maybe I will see you down there this summer. That is if they haven't returned yet! Or we vaporize. That will be the last time I ever try to schedule my life around some jungle natives clock!

Isitmeorwhott, when you come back to the woods, send me a pm. And this time, bring youre whip, cape, boots and leather stuff. .... Not for me! That wide woods beach that keeps getting wider, well they've passed a new law allowing horse back riding! On the beach!
I'd like to address this vent to the merchants of the woods: you play the music so freaking loud in your shops on the boards, I can't see straight. Then you follow me so closely everywhere in your store, and why would I want two identical shirts anyway, even if you give me the second one cheap.

Places on the west coast are doing the same thing. I've been going to the coast for 55 years that I can remember. Some places entire towns have been taken over by the sea and are only memories and other spots the beach has grown. One town has arches that were right as you get on the beach, now the beach is quite a distance from the arches.

know you walk past one shop loud music, sunglasses,t-shirts,beachware. The next a place to eat. Then another shop with loud music and the same stuff as before down the whole damn boardwalk. I was talkiin to an Israeli girl who rented one of the large shops. She told me that the rent from Memorial to labor day wa sbout 200,000 bucks a season. She said it July 4 and I have barely made a quarter of that. Well I said she should try to get different items instead of the same stuff as 2 stores down. She said she didn't know where to buy them plus she would have to pay cash and she doesn't have it and that she got her merchandise fronted now can you get this. The same guy who owns that store and bout 15 other stores. So that is why. I said how many years were you doing this she said it was the first she wished she could go back to Isreal right then but she said she would owe me.We are who we are. You know when you say that and you know you are an honest an good person. You then feel like the richest person on earth! [imghttp://i1265.photobucket.com/albums/jj508/rustypics13/Untitled54678hgr7p876ty.png][/img]all the rent and for the merchandise if she left. I said. how did you get here. She said in the winter in Israel like a job fair. This greek guy and his wife who owned the stores made it sound like we could make a fortune coming here this summer. We didn't know that every store has same thing plus you have to buy it off the owner. She said she new most of the people renting cause they all were from Isreal in the same area. Well of course none of them come even close probably to even making a profit. And guess what I think it was all Cambodian's the next year and so on.
You see this is why I am a poor carpenter. Because I could never do that to people like that it is why I can't have my own business and I just work for lg companies that pay well and Benefits. I was in Busines 2yrs that was itl I lost money. I was too honest with customers and overgenerous to the guy that worked for me. You know though when I think of it I might not have much. But i am grateful for what I have and I wouldn't want to be anyone else butI

I agree. I would rather be a good guy, than the other! That is why I will not be a salesman for a company. I have not learned of any that are honest, and only sale what would be good, right, honest, and ecologically sound, and benefit the customer, society, and the world. The only things I can think of that would fit all those areas is Art, Free Energy, The Ancient Astronaut Theory, and The Advanced Ancient's Theory.

I had my own art gallery for over 10 years in Cape May. Sold my photography of storms, lightning and cool skies. One friend moved to Nicaragua, and supplied me with pottery. A lifeguard from Wildwood made me mermaids carved out of 6 ft. pieces of pine. Another friend traveled the world collecting the most awesome stones that he made jewelry from. The list goes on and on. It wasn't easy, competing against phony, copycat wanna be "artists" and the 5 cent photocopies they would pawn off for huge profits. When the idiots started selling copies of my work, well, that was enough for me. Threatened them with court, embarrassed them with public exposure, and finally settled for a public apology in a local paper. Karma baby, that's all I can say, karma.
Oh well, if I sit still any longer (pinched nerve), I'm gonna look and feel like Lake Baikal's Khambo Lama Itigilov. ... Time for a walk.
... Peace.

Mr. Yero, that is great. I am an artist also, and one of the art galleries here, wanted me, (and others) to only do acrylic paintings, or they wouldn't put my work up, so I just sell them to people I know and meet. They think think they can rule the artists around here of what they can sell. Art that is good should be able to be sold anywhere in my opinion, as long as it is not distasteful. I have numerous injuries, and nerve damage also, so it is hard for me to do much of anything. It takes me longer to type, and to do art, but I like to write, and do ink and water colors. I am actually designing a set of decks of cards with a new card game. It will take me some time to do though because of the injuries, and now my printhead on my printer needs replaced, but I ain't got the money for it yet! Sucks to be me sometimes, when I am out of money again. Still waiting on VA Disability increase and Pension of course. Two years and counting now.

Hey Bob137. I started my photography career taking pix of unusual stone formations washing up on the beach (rocktography). There were a couple of merchants who didnt think I was crazy, and the photos always sold out. Then I captured Comet Hale-Bopp, over the cape may lighthouse and a shot of it over the shipwreck at sunset beach. The owners of sunset beach gift shops leased a 20' x 20' ft spot on the edge of the beach to me. These people really believed in me and my photography, and for that I can never show enough appreciation.
Hey Siren13, I agree with you, theres no need for it (laziness), especially people leaving short, lazy posts. (lol, just kidding)

I also do photography, but I haven't tried selling anything. Do you put them in frames first to sell, and if you do, do you mat them? Also about how much do you charge for them,a nd what size are they?

I'll send you a pm, Bob137, re: photography presentation and sales, from what I've learned literally from the ground up.
As long as I'm venting about rip-off artists:
There's a local married couple who are photographers. They work hard at it, and took over my gallery when I moved around the corner. Whenever my old customers would show up for another season, this couple would tell them they don't know where I moved to. (my new gallery was less than 1 minute walk away). When my old customers would find out the truth, and they always did, they'd be so pissed off that they'd refuse to patronize the photographers who lied to them about me. Then they tried to get me eliminated from the art shows, saying that there was already too much local stuff there.
It's just amazing how greed and insecurity can drive some people to act the way they do.
... Peace.

and @Mr. Yero Stoneman Not a lazy post I started this vent topic!!! just kidding..that was funny though.

No i am totally tired of co-workers this week. I think i'm going to be good to go then when we are given work to do the other person is crocheting something because she said there were no more sheets to work from.. I'm like really? Are you *bleeping* kidding me? Then same day all this nonsense was going on I'm on the phone with a customer and asked them kindly to please keep it down..(they were yelling food orders at one another..and I never got asked if I wanted anything to boot!) instant attitude. I couldn't take it anymore and during a conversation with my superior I mentioned it. She didn't seem surprised and told me to take a deep breath  . Then she was nice and told me she knew who was doing what and when...(how i wondered hidden cameras?? lol ) I guess it was to make me feel better and she let me vent to her. That helped me considerably. The issue with two people in particular has been going on for a while but I am an adult so I don't tattle on people ..till yesterday. I mean if we are getting paid to work.. why is it some are and some aren't? I know it goes on everywhere.. but I want to scream thinking about it. I won't I'll take more deep breaths

I know Metaluna I hate to throw people under the bus. I am the kind that will throw myself under a moving Greyhound and take the hi thinking they would do the same for me (WRONG!) Why? Because my nature is dumb. Hey if nice guys finish last. It must mean that really nice dumb guys like me don't even know they were in a contest until till their first Unemployement checks comes and I am on the couch sympathising over some gone bad trailer park relationship love triangle on Jerry Springer! :(

I guess I'm lucky--I love everyone I work with --except two people that I don't see that much.. One is a compulsive hoarder and none of the staff will eat anything she brings in..She eats her own ear wax, and licks her thumbs across the whole tongue to turn pages. yuck. Then, a Fifth grade teacher that thinks she can diagnose kids with ADHD or Autism. Enough said about her. Everyone else here is awesome and I love them.....loved them all for the last seven years !!
So...I guess if I could vent about something, it would be the fact that I can never eat at work, because all the sick kids get right in my business, "Whatchu eatin, Ms Johnson? "
And stick their germy noses in my coffee, donuts, soup or noodles at lunch..Yikes, and Naaasty !!! :x
LOL @ Jerry Springer trailer trash... I can't sympathize with them at all LOL

I worked one place where I had four supervisors who never talked to each other before giving me an assignment. It would be great fun and they were the nicest people. I finally had to tell each one to coordinate with each other. They finally did, but for a while it was too much work in one day.

Well any place I have worked no matter how nice it was, or you hated it. :( It is the Murphy's law of co-workers you are alway gonna have one horses ass you can't stand. Sometimes it is a company thing wherenobody can stand the person. Or what I hate is someone trying to compete with me for what I don't know. Usually it is some one that feels threatened by you and you are better at your job. And you even go out of your way to compliment them or help them and they still talk to you like poo and behind your back and constantly try to pick apart something that you are doing wrong and they are not paying attention to thier own job. At my last Co. which I loved everybody for the most part it seemed they always had bout 2 you couldn't stand. I swear they hire them for that alone. "Well I see here Mr. Jones from your resume that you were a real SOB at times at your last company and a general horses rectum all the time there. You know we lost a real SOB bout a month ago....... Hmmmmm. Youre hired! :D

It is like on reality tv shows they always keep the un talented shrew because he or she is pure entertainment.
