I love the dramatic music added to the "mystery lights". It reminds me of all the other programs in the nature where a claim is made of strange phenomena. It could be campers having a field day with the crews by using their own torches.

You aren't missing much. A "mystery" light shines on the woods which looks pretty much like a torch (flashlight) to me while the music plays in the background. These shows never get the evidence to analyze and when they do it turns out to be something mundane.

I'd have to disagree a little bit. If this is the episode I'm thinking of it did not look like a torch.

But the episode I'm thinking of also talked about the black forest entity in Colorado Springs..

Interesting episode. I like the show because they are trying to "debunk" rather than prove everything is "real."

It is true the show tries to debunk everything, but it also takes a playbook from History. You have to entice viewers in with a mystery and then leave 'em hanging while the commercials run.

I just didn't see much mystery in that video portion. It looks like some kids could of been flashing a torch around near the lake. My brother and friends did that all the time, even waving it at passing barges. The tug boat captain would wave his more powerful spotlight back at us, giving us all a thrill at the time.

I still think they should investigate it up close to make sure it is kids with flashlights.

I thought the original video was very interesting. Wasn't cgi or anything, could be a military craft too though.

I wonder that too sometimes.
Everybody has a cell phone now and can take pictures and still we don't get that good of pictures. It's always blurry and shaky.

I do think if it is a craft and it is right in front of me, I might not think of taking a picture of it. My thoughts would be either to go in or get the hell out of there.
