I have a creek about 10 from the side of my house...I'm seriously thinking about getting a water wheel and a generator and also some solar panels just in case we do lose power for months on end. Even if nothing does happen I'd still feel good about sticking it to AEP...my electric bill was almost $200 dollars last month. Now their talking about raising everyones rates by 15% over the next year or two.

Good plan. I am trying to get a grip, or I will drive myself nuts.

But plan on having extra stuff around, we are halfway in disaster mode around here anyway, live close to Mt. St. Helens and also we can worry about earthquakes too. What else!
