Giorgio A. Tsoukalos is the Director of the Center for Ancient Astronaut Research(A.A.S. R.A. - Archaeology, Astronautics and SETI Research Association) and the Publisher of Legendary Times, the world's only and definitive Ancient Astronaut Journal.
As the world's leading Ancient Astronaut expert, Giorgio has appeared on the Travel Channel, the National Geographic Channel, the Sci-Fi Channel,Coast to Coast AM, and many other international television and radio programs talking about the latest discoveries in the Ancient Astronaut field.
The A.A.S. R.A. is determined to prove, using scientific research methods, but in "layman's terms," as to whether or not Extraterrestrials have visited Earth in the remote past. The A.A.S. R.A. (or Center for Ancient Astronaut Research) was founded on June 17, 1998, by co-founders Giorgio A. Tsoukalos, Ulrich Dopatka, and Erich von Daniken (Chariots of the Gods) as Erich von Daniken's official international research organization.
Giorgio A. Tsoukalos is also Erich von Daniken's official U.S. representative and agent, and the rest of the English-speaking world.
For over a decade, Tsoukalos has devoted his life to the scientific study of the Ancient Astronaut Theory, which includes the detailed analysis of ancient scriptures, ancient drawings, and mysterious archaeological monuments and artifacts. He has written numerous articles about the topic, which have appeared in publications all around the world. Tsoukalos has conducted research, collected factual data, and uncovered strong supporting evidence for the Ancient Astronaut Hypothesis.
Giorgio has traveled to 54 countries (...and counting), and has conducted and participated in several risky expeditions and adventures to the remote corners of the planet in search of the mysterious. In his undying quest to uncover the Truth he has traveled hundreds of thousands of miles, seeking out strange archaeological artifacts and monuments which will further strengthen his research. Over the years, he has gained first-hand access to, photographed and measured ancient artifacts and other archaeological relics not currently accessible to the general public.

Giorgio is of Greek and Austrian descent with his father from Greece and his mother from Austria. He comes from a long line of Greek-Americans: his grandfather (George) lived in Brooklyn and in the Bronx for over 60 years, and his great-grandfather (Efstathios) arrived in the States in the late 1870s.
Giorgio speaks five languages; English, German, French, Italian, and Greek. He is also proficient in Spanish. Giorgio grew up in the little town of Laufenburg, near Basel, Switzerland, spending the summers on the Greek Islands, and the winters in Innsbruck, Austria. He was educated at Institut Montana, an international boarding school in the heart of Switzerland near the Alps and has acquired a Bachelor's degree in Sports Information & Communications at Ithaca College, NY.
Until 2005, Tsoukalos was a professional bodybuilding promoter. For 6 consecutive years he promoted, produced and directed the IFBB San Francisco Pro Grand Prix, an annual cornerstone event in professional bodybuilding. The SF Pro became the largest pro bodybuilding contest in California with top athletes and press attending from all over the globe. For over a decade, since 1994, he worked at professional bodybuilding contests all around the world, including the Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic and Olympia Weekend. He also served as the official interpreter for all non-English speaking athletes for the IFBB (International Federation of Bodybuilders, the world's 3rd largest sports organization) where he functioned as a high-ranking official for many years.
In late 2005, Tsoukalos

Giorgio enjoys a good and relaxed sit-down meal with friends, weight lifting, classic jazz standards, classical opera, sailing, going to the beach and the movies, and spending time at the new Legendary Times Clubhouse in Southern California with A.A.S. R.A. Members visiting from all around the world exchanging adventure stories and research. He lives in Oceanside, CA.
Oh, and 2 more things: (1) Giorgio loves listening to talk radio. Both at home, the office and in his car. Please don't ask him to turn it off. Ever. (2) Giorgio loves to sit front and center at the movie theater (5th or 6th row). Movies are meant to be seen like this, that's why they are shown on the silver screen first. If you want to sit in the back of the movie theater, go right ahead, but you might as well wait until the movie comes out on DVD so you can watch it on TV.
